متن کاملChitotriosidase: A New Inflammatory Marker in Diabetic Complications.
Chitotriosidase (CHIT1) belongs to chitinase family. So far this enzyme has been the best investigated human chitinase regarding its biological activity and association with various disorders. In a healthy population, CHIT1 activity is very low and originates in the circulating polymorphonuclear cells. Conversely, during the development of acute/chronic inflammatory disorders, the enzymatic act...

متن کاملInflammatory markers and diabetic retinopathy in type 1 diabetes.
R etinopathy affects 86% of people in the U.S. with type 1 diabetes (1). This percentage is higher than would be expected as a result of poor glycemic control, blood pressure elevations, and smoking. Another possible risk factor for microvascular disease in type 1 diabetes might be inflammation.
